The Divine Mercy cell aims to make known the endless merciful love that God has towards all his people. It seeks to remind the faithful that His mercy is greater than our sins and is available to all who approach Him with trust.
The cell recites the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in church on the First Friday of the month, together with the prayers to the Sacred Heart during the 6:30pm Holy Half-Hour Adoration. The cell members also regularly pray the Chaplet in homes or in a group whenever deemed necessary during the year, especially for the intentions of the sick.
The Feast of Divine Mercy is celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. In preparation for the feast, the Novena and Chaplet are recited for nine days after the daily 7:00pm Mass.
On novena days, the celebrant usually provides a short reflection on the day’s theme. The cell complements that reflection with short clippings or works of Mercy projected overhead.
The cell meets before the Divine Mercy Feast to prepare and plan its activities. The Feast Day Mass and preceding Triduum usually features invited preachers. The cell’s activities are coordinated by Grace Vaz (tel. 2640-4365 or email@example.com) and Vera Alvares (tel. 98209-47130 or firstname.lastname@example.org). Fr. Sunil Menezes serves as Spiritual Director.
