The Charismatic Prayer Group at St. Theresa’s embodying the “Spirit of Love” first began in late 1974 when it comprised members from both within and outside the Parish. The group evolved and grew over the years and is today a vibrant part of our parish community.

The aim of the group is to help its members enter into a meaningful relationship with Christ and lead a Spirit-filled life. The group enables its members to build powerful prayer lives and to receive and exercise charismatic gifts. The group fosters ongoing growth in holiness and promotes evangelisation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The group conducts weekly prayer meetings with praise and worship, teachings, testimonies and intercessions. It includes several ministries in music, intercession, service, healing and evangelisation. It also conducts programmes for parishioners at important Church feasts.
Membership in the group is open to all parishioners. 

The group’s meeting schedule is as follows:

• Weekly prayer meeting: Tuesdays, 7:30 to 9:00pm in the Church
• Intercession ministry meeting: Mondays, 7:30 to 9:00pm in a school classroom
• Ladies Intercessory Cell: Mondays, 2:30 to 4:00pm in the school Council Room
• Music Ministry meeting: Mondays, 7:30 to 8:00pm in the Church
