Fr. Callisto Gomes originally hails from Goa. His grandparents were parishioners of Our Lady of Rosary Church, Dockyard and Gloria Church, Byculla. He did his Schooling and College studies in Ujjain (MP). He joined SVD Catholic Ashram Palda Indore in 1989. As a seminarian he spent two years in Japan under the Overseas Training Program. After Ordination he served as a Formator, Finance and property matters, School and Parish ministry.
